What we do

Land clearing & rural land services for northeast Oklahoma

Logan Land & Ranch Services is an owner-operated land-services company based near Tulsa. We get overgrown acreage back under control — and keep it there — with a custom plan that uses brush hogging where it’s feasible and forestry mulching only where it’s necessary.

The right tool for the job

Not sure what you need?

Not every overgrown property needs forestry mulching — and usually not all of the land does. We don’t oversell equipment. We brush hog where it makes sense and mulch where it’s needed.

What does your land need?

Choosing an option updates the recommendation below.

Brush Hogging

Brush hogging

Most economical

Tall grass and weeds are exactly what heavy-duty mowing is built for. It’s one of the most economical ways to reclaim acreage when heavier clearing isn’t necessary.

What it handles

  • Tall grass & weeds
  • Briars & light brush
  • Overgrown fields & pastures

Forestry Mulching

Forestry mulching

Selective

A skid-steer mulching head shreds cedars, small trees, vines and dense undergrowth into coarse mulch. Its roughly six-foot footprint lets us clear wide swaths or work selectively around the trees you want to keep.

Oak woodland with the understory cleared and cut brush on the ground, a dirt road winding through the trees.

  • Cedars & saplings
  • Vines, briars & brambles
  • Brush and certain stumps

Brush Hogging + Forestry Mulching

A combined plan

Custom plan

We brush hog the open ground and forestry mulch only the areas that need it. On larger projects, that combination is often the best use of equipment — and it can reduce unnecessary equipment time and cost.

What it handles

  • Open ground and heavy pockets
  • Cedars in the pasture
  • Trails & access through the brush

Land Clearing

Firebreaks & fuel reduction

Wildfire risk reductionFire Mitigation Special

Reduce the undergrowth and overgrowth that fuels wildfires. Rather than clearing to a mineral dirt level, we brush hog as low as possible to reduce the fuel load and remove the scaffolding of dry vegetation — discouraging fire spread and creating defensible space.

Firebreaks and fuel reduction lower wildfire risk and help prepare your property. No service can guarantee a fire won’t reach it.

What it handles

  • Cutting tall vegetation
  • Removing accumulated undergrowth
  • Establishing or maintaining firebreaks

Roads, paths & property edges

We can maintain or reopen the trails, roads and paths across your acreage, and provide mowing and vegetation management around fence lines, ponds, barns and the rest of the property’s edges.

One property, three services

One custom plan for the whole property.

We brush hog where it’s feasible, mulch where it’s necessary and combine the two on larger jobs — which can cut unnecessary equipment time and cost.

Pricing

What will my project cost?

Pricing depends on more than acreage. We price the property, not a flat per-acre rate — and you’ll know the plan and price before any work begins.

What shapes your estimate

There’s no honest single price that fits every property.

  • Acreage
  • Vegetation height & density
  • Brush, saplings & trees
  • Terrain
  • Rocks, wire, stumps & debris
  • Equipment access
  • Travel distance

Same acreage, different job

  • 5 acresOpen pastureLighter job
  • 5 acresYears of briars, saplings & hidden debrisMuch heavier job
An open five-acre pasture and five acres of years-old briars, saplings and hidden debris are very different jobs. We price the property accordingly.

Small projects carry a minimum service charge, since loading, transporting and unloading equipment is part of every job.

Questions

Questions landowners ask

What’s the difference between brush hogging and forestry mulching?

Brush hogging (also called bush hogging) is heavy-duty mowing for tall grass, weeds, briars, light brush and small saplings. Forestry mulching uses a skid-steer mulching head for heavier growth like cedars, small trees, vines and dense undergrowth. On larger projects, combining the two is often the most efficient plan.

Can you combine brush hogging and forestry mulching on one job?

Yes, and on larger projects it’s often the most efficient plan. We brush hog the open ground and forestry mulch only the areas that need it. That combination can be the best overall use of equipment for your goals, and it can reduce unnecessary equipment time and cost.

I’m not sure what my property needs. Can you recommend something?

Yes — that’s a good place to start. Text a few photos to 918-268-3138 and we’ll recommend a plan. Not every overgrown property needs forestry mulching or heavy land clearing, and usually not all of the land does.

Do you charge by the acre?

Not with a flat per-acre rate. Acreage matters, but so do vegetation height and density, brush and saplings, terrain, rocks, wire, stumps or debris, equipment access and travel distance. For larger or reasonably uniform acreage, we can often give a straightforward project price after reviewing the property.
